My tunnel dump install and 2010 upgrades

Here are some pics of my speedwerx tunnel dump install. Someone had made a post a few weeks ago and made this install seem to be very difficult. I had the opposite experience. I wanted to do a thread to show it isn't that hard. I had aprox 2 hours time in this. I could've gone faster but wanted to take my time and make it right. For the hole in the footrest, i recommend putting up the template then using small hole saws going around the perimeter of the template. Then, use a grinder to finish taking out the spots between the hole saws. For the tunnel hole, again, use small hole saws with a 90 degrees wireless drill then finish smoothing the edges with a grinder. Cutting through the footrest took a few test fits and grinding but overall, i'm very pleased with the install and i'm excited to try out this muffler in deep snow. Also i've added a cat skid plate, front frog skins, cpc side vents, amp gauge cage, cat ice scratchers, boss seat, cpc adjustable weights and a cpc torsional secondary kit. I'm really lookin forward to some snow here in utah!

it is impossible for the exhaust to get cap off. The deep powder bog from the m1000 is a combination of clogged intake vents and exhaust cap off. This gets rid of one of those problems.

How loud is it compared to stock? I am curious if the rails are going to get any black soot from the 2 stroke exhaust after a season of use.

i bought the sled new march of last year and before i rode it, put an mbrp can on it. So, not much experience with how loud it was with a stock can. I did start it one time to loud it into my trailer with the stock can and from what i can remember, it is a little louder than stock. Once it is in the snow, it will be very quiet though. As far as coloration on the rails.... won't be any worse than than my right side a arms
