My trip to Alpine, Wy

Well, I finally got out for my first ride of the season, and headed up to Alpine for a weekend of fun. Had a great ride on Saturday. Took a few pictures and couple videos from my new GoPro camera. Sunday, we got up the road about 13 miles, just cruising along getting closer to our destination, and my engine decides to lock up! I had been keeping my eye on the temp, and dipping off into the powder whenever I could. It was probably around 130-135 degrees or so when it locked up. So, we got everything situated for the tow back, and I pulled the rope to see if by chance it had freed up, and I was able to pull it over. I got it to start, but shut it right back off because I didn't want to risk causing any more damage. So, I got towed back to the Hotel and pulled the pipe to get a look at the pistons. PTO side seems fine, but the mag side is TOAST!

I just want to send out a big THANK YOU to Rick from R&M Lightning Products for sacrificing his day of what (I heard) was some good riding to tow my sorry @$$ back.

Nice pics! We always seem to end up in those bowls in the 5th pic every time we're up there. Sorry to hear about the sled! Thats no fun, especially on your first trip of the season. At least the Bull Moose was there to keep you company!

Definitely an area to go tackle again. Yes, the Bull Moose and Jack Daniels were VERY good to me this past weekend!!! First time i've seen a hotel with stripper poles!!

I've been around, just been hanging out with the Rebels Won a free membership here so I came over to use it up. No dirt bike in this toy box, just a street bike. Might be hanging up the sledding hat for a bit now too.

Pretty much looking at 3 options right now.

1. Fix it and sell it
2. Sell it as-is
3. Part it out

No matter how I look at it, she's been good sled (for the most part), but I think it's time to send the 'ol girl down the road.

I limited my time upstairs just for that reason. I didn't wanna come home home broke!!

On another note, I am starting up a "Marty needs a new sled" fund. I figured if I could get 10,000 SW'ers to each donate a dollar, I'll be back on the snow in no time!
