How fast is that thing supposed to go? My boy used to have a mini z, but to me it was good for the parking lot and that was about it.

Right on! I just bought my nephew a ZR120. He hasn't seen it yet. I hope he digs it. I'll bet your kid is going to love that thing.
Great new sled for the boy. He will love it, and you might as well keep your wallet open.
My son just turned 10 yr. old and is on his third sled. Polaris 120 at 5, a freestyle 300 at 8, and a phazer 500 last February. If you have other younger children, you will have to keep the old ones. My 8 yr old daugther inherited the the 120 and now the Freestyle 300, and she already has her eyes on her brother's Phazar. And my son has his eyes on my Summit 800.
Buy them good gear, ride safe, and you'll have riding buds til the end.
