We bought my boy a Kazuma 50 back when he was 4 years old. Everyone thought we were nuts but I believed in him. The Kazuma had a governor you could adjust rpms on, and you could lock it into a gear, setting top speed all the way down to 5mph or so, basically a quick walking speed.

First time out we pushed him around the yard with the engine "OFF" showing him how / when to turn, apply brakes etc. After about 20 min of that, we started it up and turned him loose. It was all grins from then on. Hes gotten really good riding it and we've let him loose on my old 92 PhazerII ST out snowmobiling. Kid doesnt have a fear of anything yet ROFL.

Paid $405 for for the atv new, and will probably replace it with a 110 next year or so. Its probably worth $450 or more as they have gone up in price so much.

his is a 110 no gears it is a ctv like a sled. and i can control how fast it goes also but i do it with teh throdle cable. it will do 30ish with both of us on it. he loves that the battery doesnt go dead like the plastic ones he has. he looked at me after about 10 mins and said look dad the battery is not dead it still goes its not out of gas. then took off

Thats awesome!
Can't wait to get my daughter riding... Still a little young at 15 months.
I was sure to start out on a quiet 4 wheeler (taking her for rides).
Didn't want her to be afraid of the noise... She does great... First ride on the sled I was thinking it would be too loud, but she loves it!

awesome!
can't wait to start getting my boy out on the snow and dirt..
he is 19months now.. when did anyone here 1st take there kid for a sled ride? and how did it work?

Had our oldest (5 now) out when he was 12months old. It was in AZ in Feb, so like spring conditions. He just fell asleep after about 15min strapped to the front of me.
Our little one (2 in July) has ben out since 8 mos old, but we bought a snowcoach and strapped his carseat init. Went out for a half day ride, snowin like mad, he was warm and asleep most of the time inthe 'coach.
This we took them on several full day rides. Little one in the 'coach all day and TJ would ride with one of us for a while then when he'd get tired or cold, we'd put himin the 'coach too until he was warm again.
That snocoach is the best $1100 (used) I ever spent on sledding. Can't get up too big of hill with it, but you can sidehill with it hooked up and a 153 sled pulls it around just fine in up to 2' of fresh. Much more pow than that and it gets to be an anchor. Thinkin of putting some GenII Simmons skis, or some other real wide skis on it.

Right on! pretty soon, you'll be riding behind him eating his dust/snow ! :D

cool pics.

was it you that was asking for help while back, so you could keep that truck for your boy? Howd that turn out?

absolutly amazing turbo! i can't belive he is getting so big! enjoy every minute of it. my nephew started riding with my bro when he was about 2 & on his own at 6 & he already wants his own 500! they grow up so fast!!!

well he wrecked this weeknd!!!!! took a corner a little fast and rolled it over on him self. blew a tire. he was ok. cried for a bit. i had to tow it back to the shop and fix the tire. he rode back with mom on her 4 wheeler. i fixed it but he would not get back on. he rode his plastic one till the battery went dead then told me he wanted to ride the big one again. and away he went it was great to see him get back on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My girls (10 & 7) ride one of the Sportsmans and the Polaris 90. Little man (2)rides his electric Yamaha grandpa got him for Christmas EVERY day when we get home! He gets totally pissed when he has to get off of it and come in for dinner~LOL! "ride, daddy. wanna ride" Says that every time he sees a sled or ATV:)

When I picked up my sled last fall one of the sales guys offered to watch him as I loaded it. I warned the guy. He climbed up on a wheeler, started it, and drove it into another one on the sales floor~lol. He was 1 1/2 at the time. 'Atta boy!

Sorry to mention this,

I thought you were poor?;)

It is good to see the kids enjoying stuff like that but,

Show him how to do up his helmet, he should not even be sitting on it with the strap undone. (pic #3), and also, put some gear on him. A pipe burn or gravel rash can really hurt.
