my solution to broken hawk! pedal power!!!

I think its awesome. I see alot of those Burley brand mountain bikes up here in the winter. They have huge high floatation tires and like 25 speed gearing. With the ski your forward momentum would be way easier to maintain.

its for sale

company is ktrak cycles in canada eh! its a pretty cool thing, when i first saw it all i could think was a pedal powered hawk. the guys building never heard of a snow hawk!

The XC skiers would just chit if I came by and quietly roosted them on their "exclusive" nonmotorized trails. Hehehehehehhehehhehehheh:D:D:beer;:beer;

So, how much are they? Will it fit on my mid 90's Trek carbon Y-frame with a Zoke?

edit for chitty spelling

fits any 26" bike with disc or rim brakes. sells on companys site for 450 plus shipping. id sell for 350. i paid almost 525 for it back when the retail was 700 now the manufacture is underselling the dealers...must be a bad marketing thing going on with 1 ski machines!!!!

Hmmm, sounds familiar, this one-ski manufacturer thing. $525 cost early on when they were new/hot, then the Manufacturer is underselling you at the end of the season on close out and you are stuck loosing $$$ on every one. Sounds like they don't want anymore return dealers/buyers. Just new suckas like 'Addict and Comisac stepping up to the plate and buying some kits/machines. Then they are driving all over the damm countryside promoting the living 'ell out of the product, hoping to cash in on the sensation of the one-ski thing. So far the Hawk thing hasn't made it, has it? Will Boivin support the Explorer/Comisac in this/his/its legendary tale? Will they sell it off, leave us hanging and move on to track conversions for Jeeps and FourRunners or actually build up the conversion product ... brand ... sport????. I hope it flourishes to the moon with all of us along for the ride. Pioneers, blazin the one-ski trail. Maybe we can look at a trackski kit as a trade item? Got one still new in the box?

this is my only one. id say maybe 30-40 miles on track and about 2 on the ski...the ski isnt the greatest unless your going downhill ski resort type stuff, which they dont allow here. we just ran a studded tire in the front

on the 1 ski industry...imagine if EVERYBODY rode a 1 ski machine wether a hawk or 2 moto or explorer or the new expidition or excursion that ford is coming out with in 2021.then when chevy and the others jump aboard the 1 ski revolution... how much better the trails would be and how much less grooming would have to be done! no more snocats making 20 foot wide trails, the just have a 2 foot wide groomer so we could run single track all year long!!!!

+1000 to year-round single track!!

The last slightly used demo kit sounds like the classic Hawk tale. New Dealer signs up for new brand/product. Dealer has season of tough sales and promo trying to innovate the market with their new found toy. Mfg goes on closeout/product upgrade and dealer can compete with pricing/new product, loosing money on last remaining inventory. The demo remains, collecting dust at the dealership, an accursed reminder of lost money and potential. Dealer relegates it to the back room/shed and hopes it catches on fire... Dealer sours to the idea of ALL revolutionary product do to losses sustained while trying to get out of stock of one-skis. The demo languishes in the dark corner, unridden and unloved. The dealer finally lists it on ebay for small money out of frustration and one of us goofballs seizes the opportunity and snap it up for chumpchange. Why is the oneski story like that??? Even with FANATICAL promotion(just ask Tony)! dammit

It's all our fault, bigger has to be better!

"We've come a long way baby!"

Honda Cub, traded it in on a 305 Dream, and poof the Gold Wing.

Tent, camper, travel trailer, wow a 42' foot bus for two people.

Whats personal about a three seat watercraft unless the bimbos on it are naked?;)

The electronics industry is the only place you will find people willing to pay more for less, and their falling over themselves to get the next idea.

The only "chance" we take these days is in some stupid casino, maybe Honda, Polaris, and Yamaha should paste their names on the table give the player more confidence in a return on their bet.

The Hawk should have began with a 2300cc Triumph Rocket engine then you might have heard some fool suggest, if it was just a little lighter!

A revalation.

Get em to start big then sell them a light weight accessory!

How the hell do the cell phone companies pull the wool over our eyes with those longer talk time batteries?
