My running boards are shot!!!

The running boards on my 99 670 X are falling apart, both are cracking from the outside in, and are getting worse! the rivets and plastic grips on the runner's are just braking off. Where can I get a new pair of better, posibly wider aftermarket running boards? I see some for polaris but now skidoo, im tired of patching the cracks and snaps and need new ones. If anyone has a link or has replaced them please let me now, thanks alot!!!

my buddy made his own.. i should have him talk to you, they are not the prettiest things in the world, but they are STRONG and shed snow like you cant imagein!!!

motleydoo is his name on here.

I have also made my own along with all my other mods, I made a pattern and then had local machine shop plasma cut it out on there fancy computer machine and had them bend a 2 inch lip up the tunnel. cost alittle over $100 dollars and are pretty long. I made some before this but weren`t long enough back the boards and was just sheet aluminum, so decided to redo and make them longer and out of 1/8 aluminum, could go thicker if your boards are that flexible. also drove aluminum bar down the outer loops on the runningboards , lot stronger now. have not ridin yet since just got the longer ones installed just yesterday. but the shorter ones I had before worked awesome for clearing the snow. before I made them longer, sure they will be even better. and are much longer than snoweliminators. was cheaper to, if you can doo the cutting on your boards and installation yourself. I personaly like to make stuff install it myself for the fabrication high. knowing I did it cheaper and did it myself. but if you don`t have those resources I would try the better boards you see posted on here, just type a search for better boards. My buddy has snoweliminators from an ZX chassis on his 97 summit and they work well but he wishs they were longer. Good Luck.

I fabbed mine out of square steel tubing, 3/4"x3/4" outside rail, then 1/4" square for the cross bars. They are a little bit heavy but DON'T hold snow and DON'T flex. Had to use sheetmetal screws(for now!) for traction, but they seem work awesome. My size 14 feet had a hard time staying on the narrow older style runningboards, so full 7" wide all the way back! No falling off now!
