My Nytro puked

So i had the nytro stuck on it's side (left side) for at least 20 minutes getting it turned back over due to some crazy hard snow layer that was buried by about 6 inches of fluff which flipped me right off the sucker when I was making a sharp powder turn (in no powder)...

I had filled up 15 miles or so before the inversion, so as I'm digging I start smelling gasoline. Super.

When it was all over with, there was gas and oil all over the place inside the belly pan. I rode back to "the cabin" to rest and have a beer, and as I'm sitting there, this crap just starts dripping out of the gaps in the pan everywhere.

Nice.

Not that I would expect anything different from my motorcycle if it was on its side for 20 min...

If it was a four stroke dirt bike you could expect exactly the same!! Fact of life with a motor that requires a breather to the crank case!!

I carry a quart of oil with me just for that reason. I hope you checked the oil level!

The gas must have been coming from the breather on your tank. If it happens again make sure that the breather is not putting fuel on the exhaust prior to starting it up.

Yeah, gravity works...even at 10k

Yeah, I need oil right now, I'm picking up a quart (two now) before I go out this afternoon. One will be going in the shovel bag on the tunnel.

It'll happen again, so I'll be finding that breather. If it's near the exhaust, is it under the seat?

Yuck.

i always carry a spare litter of oil in the front of my sled . i just wraped it in foam and stuck it up there for when i roll my sled . the best part about it is when youre friends Xpees chain case starts pissing oil all over the place that oil just became worth a flat of beer :D

got the 2 liters today

The sled took almost an entire liter of Yamalube. Oops. Good thing I took it real easy on the way home that day.

Went out for a ride after getting the oil, snow was rock hard and tracked out so I didn't get on it much but the sled ran great. Did some crazy tree singletrack instead.

The other liter was in the shovel bag but is going into some foam in the front hood hole before the next trip out...

It's a bummer, the old Vector had the perfect air box and then they went backwards with this design.
