My iq is lean need advice

Sled burned down on one side did the fix kit got it all shimmed up went for a slow ride one plug is grey other is cardboard brown with a little white how should the plugs look on this sled bought the sled used never got to ride it to take a look at the plugs for myself. Also wondering does this machine jet for altitude or do I need a flash for 3100 feet is it normal for injectors to go bad or ecu, can the dealer put a scan tool to check injectors and other problems right now I am a fan of the old gen ii that I have glad I kept it or I wouldnt have nothing to ride

Well you cant jet for altitude because you don't have jets, its fuel injected. your ecu should compensate for elevation changes so you will not need a different map.

Id look at getting a power commander to help with the lean points in the stock fuel mapping. The plugs should be cardboard, its still a two stroke motor.

Also if your plugs aren't pretty close to reading the same thing Id check to make sure you don't have an air-leak anywhere on one side.

make sure to visit the second link down in this section, its got lots of helpful info.

Rather than soak them if you have a Diesel shop in town go and get them pressure tested. check your throttle body boots for rips that could cause excess air entering your motor as well.

I second the power commander.

The stock programming has issues. I run a boondocker on mine and also run EGT's. You can totally see the mid range lean spot on factory mapping. You can tune it out of it yourself or go with the power commander.

This thread was a year old, I doubt the OP is still looking for reply's, he should be riding by now.
