The hyperlite clutch on my REV worked awesome. I did notice that there were cracks on the outer sheave, and rode it until it got substancially worse.
This past summer I remember a bunch of threads on the possible fix that would replace the outer sheave.
I sourced out at machine shops to get a bunch machined, and it was gonna be spendy. like 400$+ spendy. I was going to put the clutch on the shelf.
Hymark860 took the initiative to make up the time consuming machine code and cnc a sheave for himself. He made up a few, and I bought one right away, based upon faith and his extensive experience with being in the metal machining industry.
Upon recieving the new beefier outer sheave, I didn't replace it until a month ago, while it had challenges on it's own to disassemble the old sheave, the new one went on like butter!
Test riding my sled with the new improved outer, I noticed that it worked flawlessly. I am extremely pleased with Hymark860's craftsmanship, attention to detail, and perseverence to make this clutch live on as the best performing mountain roller secondary in the industry(IMHO), at an affordable cost..
This new sheave does not improve the performance over the old one, or magically increase ponies... but I know for certain it is a fix to the infamous cracking that has had many give up on this clutch.
so to all the tire kickers, you can be assured that this is the fix.
Thanks, Hymark860.
