So I clipped a rock with my track as I was sending it on my snow checked orange sks. Sled went end over end and hurt the hood and side Lh panel pretty good along with some other things. No big deal right. Wrong $721 for a bare hood almost $800 complete not including lights. Here's my problem I can buy the hood in any other color red white black lime green for $400 complete otd. Polaris needs to take another look at this its not like anyone with orange signed up for a special color. All that begin said I purchased a white hood with intensions on painting it. Unfair!

Insurance is your best friend on any sled. atv.utv or dirtbike, couple hundred a year or so for full coverage

I have an orange SKS hood I just took off 3 days ago. I don’t think I ever plan on putting it back on.

PM me if you are interested:face-icon-small-hap

With headlights in and door which is White but I have orange on my 17 and would trade out .. Don't know if your door and little bit on sides plus orange but if those two are it's the exact match..

And I am way closer I'm in Michigan ..You could have it and be riding by Tuesday-Wednesday

The white hood is HDPE I believe and not paintable...we'll not easily if you want it to be durable... an involved process if you want it to match.

Do you have part numbers? I was looking at parts catalog online and seemed like all the colored ones are very expensive. I don't think it is true that snowcheck colors are more expensive than inseason colors. I think there is just one hood from a cheaper material available, not sure what sled it comes on from factory.

And yes, hoods are crazy overpriced. I'm going to keep riding with my broken one. It stays on and mostly keeps the snow out, what more does it need to do?

I broke my hood, headlight, ecm, and a bunch of other stuff. You should see the price tag on the LED headlight assembly. If I remember it was about $300, so you are lucky. My rule is never by a snow check or LE model because replacement cost is insane. It's usually at least double. Insurance is good, but it still sucks.

My research on Polaris Parts House suggests your statement is not true. For instance, black spindles are the same price as snowcheck-only blue spindles. Ditto hoods. Can you post some parts that back up your statement?

Rear seat hoop dealer prices; bare aluminum about $35, black powder coated over $80. Look at the black plastic hood vs any color painted, it is a huge difference.

Well at least Cat doesn't discriminate.
Buddy wiped the hood off my wife's M7 last spring. Looked all year for a used one before I made him pony up for a new one.
All colors/models/years of M are within a few bucks of each other, but hood, vent screens and hood pins was just shy of $1000! And that was discount price from free agent....

Thanks for the lead Trey....

Looks like the hoods that sold as " Acessories" by Polaris are cheaper than the ones ordered as part replacements.

all are $399.... and I'm sure that some of the discount houses and FreeAgent can beet that.

They are all painted TPO... (Thermo-Plastic Olefin)... and will take paint with minimum effort.

Lime squeeze, white, Red, Black, blue.
