My footage aired on ABC Nightly News!

Wow:face-icon-small-shoThat onboard footage was scary. No handed and one handed over some BIG bumps. I can't believe he stayed on that thing. That looks like a prime slope to trigger one on. East facing?

powdercrew is one of the most humble sledders on this forum...his vids are down to earth, and generally can be related to as experiences we all have.
His fun factor is genuine as is i think his intent as well to post what he did..

Ya know "Magic"... thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate that. Its the riders out there like yourself that seperate this sport from all others!

What did they pay you? I would have declined as it will certainly be used to show just how sledding needs to be banned to save us from ourselves. Good work!

They paid nothing. Its already on Youtube... all it was for was a public interest piece on the news, they do it every night i think? It was just "attention getting" to those who have no idea what the backcountry is like? As far as banning us due to Youtube videos? I prefer not to get into a political debate in this thread concerning "banning us over what we do". We played on a big hill, and it gave way. We arent the first... and wont be the last. Criticize it, learn from it or just enjoy the "awe" of it, makes no matter to me. Peace out sledders... and BE SAFE out there!

Thanks for showing that. Crazy.

Notice how it fractured right when he got to that rock. Goes right along with what Mike Duffy teaches about those exposed rocks that draw radiant heat and melt the snow around them...he had SEVERAL pic and vid examples of fractures that seemed to start right around those rocks sticking out.

Who's to say if he's wrong or not...but it sure is compelling. I'd tend to believe.
