My Fix install

So over the weekend I finished up The Fix install on an 08 Dragon. Got all my work on it done, serviced the clutches, then took it by the dealer and had them put it on the Digital Wrench.

After installing The Fix I had noticed that the idle RPM was up from pre install, but I don't know how valid that is because pre-install the stock pistons were scuffed. Anyway, it on the Digital Wrench and TPS and Idle settings were out of wack so we dialed those in and got it all setup to factory specs.

They checked and even though the sled was supposedly in to another dealer multiple times after the update was done it still had the original ECU program in it.

PMS said to put the Apr 2010 program in it. Problem is, in Digital Wrench, there is not info on when the programs were released, only in order of when they were released and assigned a part number. Anyone know what the part number assigned to the Apr 2010 program is? We opted to put the latest one in, which is part number 4013136.

After all that was done we had it up on the stand, warmed it up and all 3 mechanics commented that it sounded crisper than before we started with the adjustments and new program. Maybe just mental horse power and for sure the TPS was off far enough to cause some issues.

So now to put it on the snow and see how it works.

the fix

Wut did u mean when u said the tps setting were off far enough to cause some issues? Please explain I'm new too the whole ecu thing and I too just installed the fix on my 09 dragon, thanks!

The original posters TPS issues had nothing to do with the "fix kit". Sounds to me like his old dealer was not doing their job.

The TPS had nothing to do with the Fix. The sled came to me with complaints about it not pulling RPM... never over 7500RPM even right after the update was done. I was not planning on the Fix but figured there was something wrong with the setup on the sled. So I tore in to it to check clutches, bearings, etc... when I pulled the exhaust valves to clean them I found scuffed pistons.

So in went the Fix. But I was still not convinced the previous people that worked on it had made sure everything was right, and I was taking to the dealer to have the ECU programming checked anyway, so I had them check the TPS. Found it to be out by quite a bit. If the TPS isn't set right it can cause low power/low RPM for the correct clutch setup.

That's what I ment by TPS being off.
