My First Snowest Forum Post

Hi Everyone

I'm looking for a new place to hang out and share sledding aventures. We live next to the Sierra mountains that surround Lake Tahoe. Snowmobiling is one of the most important thing in life and can't get enough of it.

Was living on the Doo-Talk site for years, but nearly all their members are back east as well as all of their activities.

Looking to travel around and play in other western mountain states like Oregon, Wyoming, Colorado, and Idaho. Maybe I'll be able to hook up with a few of you some day.

Born in Libby Montana, and I usually go up there once a year to ride with the family, but they are getting old and me and the kid like to climb the steep stuff and go nuts and often break things. So we get a chance to ride different places while traveling between here and there.

My title comes from being on the Doo site and the fact that I've only own skidoo sleds. I like all snowmobiles that actually go out and ride.

Look forward to hanging out this coming winter. I love to post pictures and videos. And really enjoy seeing others as well.

Good to meet you. Am new to this forum myself and I have noticed a real lack of WELCOME ABOARDS at this site. Maybe we can change that. Sled **** might help, what do ya think?

Welcome,

I've had lots of good forum cruising and received good help and encouragement when needed on different subjects since I joined 5 years ago. Good people here, and glad to have you post.

Sincerely,

Then you have found your addiction here :D

Don't be hesitant to ask for advice if you need it, you will get plenty of it, just have to research who the reputable helpers are ;)

Welcome to the jungle, and safe sledding to ya.

Welcome aboard! :) Thanks for the introduction and letting us know a little about you.

Libby's not too far from my neck of the woods, and we also do have some peeps from the Libby area on this site......and ones that like to do the big climbs. This is a great place to meet some good people!

Welcome to SW!

Drop in on the california forum, there are a lot of guys that ride the sierras and the surrounding states. Popular road trips are oregon and the rubies in elko NV. If you go north from tahoe there is some epic riding around donner pass as well.

First welcome to both of you.

It's still early in the season and a lot of the people haven't started coming online yet. That and they changed the format for this site and a lot of people are still figuring it out.
give it a couple weeks and this place seriously wakes up.
not uncommon to have 2k people on this site at any given time.

hmm...I think we'd be a lot more welcoming if you show us some sleddin pics to introduce yourself ;)

Here's my youngest son (15). He is finally big enough to handle the big stuff and is pretty much with me every time I go out. I have 4 kids in total (13 & 20 year old girls, 15 & 18 year old boys).

Saw the limit on jpg pictures was about 90K, not sure yet if that is 90K a day or a post. , so I'll crunched the first one down.

Donner pass is one of our favorite hill climb areas. My boy loves that place, but I try not to go there a lot. About 1 out of every 20 sleds that enter, don't make it back on their own.

Here's a link to a youtube video I made of one of the many hills in that area. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJ_XYxHjB9U

Cool looks like there is no limit to posting pictures!!!
