My custom sled build from start to finish in 2 minutes

You look to be very talented, good skills to have, I like the finished product, "retro performance". Do you have any idea of the finished weight? It would be fun to watch you out climb some of the newer sleds, maybe turbo that Yami!

We weighed it last week at about 400 wet, I knew it would be heavy but I wanted to see what it was like before I started to lean out the weight.

I can easily knock 50 pounds off it with:

timbersled kit 15 pounds
fox float fron shocks 6-8 pounds
seat and seat base chop - 4-6 pounds
new steering rod and handlebars - 6 pounds
pogo susp mod - 2-3 pounds
motor mount mod 5-8 pounds
fuel tank mod 1 pound
misc 5 pounds

My goal was 325 dry but will realistically be a little more. Once the major weight saving mods are done I will be looking for ounces here and there, cutting up the cab, halving the windshield, swapping steel for aluminum etc etc.

No turbo but dual carbs and ceramic coating will be done. If I can get 65 or more hp out of it I will be happy.

Thanks for watching.

Great job, you should be proud, that's quite the sleeper you got going on there, can't wait to see phase 3 when it's complete.

Please don't take this the wrong way.

But you obviously have some fab and engineering skills. Why not direct that toward a true mountain "creation"? It wouldn't even be a mod considering that you are pretty much creating your own snowmobile. If you are going to add those mods you are talking about, seems it would go further if you made a more capable snowmobile. It's like creating a really cool Chevy Cavalier instead of a really cool Corvette.

If you just really dig it and don't care about hard core mountain riding, then good for you.

I know what you are saying, but unfortunately we don't have mountains here, if we did I would build a totally different sled. I built this for flatland powder and hardcore bushwacking, if I am lucky I will see a 3000 foot "mountain" next year in quebec with it - so that's as high as it will ever get.
