My Assault with RkTek head at 10psi and straight pump gas

Looks good. How do you find the bottom end response with that low of compression?

Video from todays riding. Bumped it up to 9.6-10psi today, with 10-78 weights. This is on straight pump fuel and with RkTek 10.2 head and RkTek/Wössner pistons.

This is low elevation, around 3-4000ft.

So how does it compare with stock setup? How does the response and overall power compare? How much lower is your compression then stock?

Once again nice riding always fun to watch your vids:face-icon-small-coo

Are you running a inter cooler? And it sounds like you fixed the bog problem did you find what was causing the problem?

No intercooler, seeing charge temps at 50-60celsius.

The bogging problem i had is gone, im 90% sure it was because of the timing key.

Im running Rktek head that has 10.2 in compression vs. stock that has around 12.9 I think. And im running Rktek/Wössner pistons that are much lighter than stock, and has a better fit.

After rebuilding the motor, adding the head and pistons, and removing the timing key, the response is actually better that with the timing key and stock head. Not by much but enough to notice.

Response vs. stock isnt really comparable, stock is way faster and more crisp than my setup. I blame alot of that on the clutching, im running 42/48 helix, but will change that to a straight 48.

Power from stock to turboed isnt worth talking about, im riding with a stock assault same year, and other pro rmk's. Its actually booring riding them after riding mine.

So tip of the day, remove the timing key. Yes you can run higher boost on bad fuel, but its worth turning down the boost and removing it, or just buying a turbo head instead.

Thanks for sharing your setup, seems like it moves pretty good.

I laughed out loud when you went into that tree, I was expecting you to back up, roll out of it, maybe the video instead would just cut to more boondocking.

Nope, Just full throttle, grab bar and run it down. :cheer2:

All of that money in the sled and no kill switch

But ya, super crazy amounts of power... Love it

I am also interested in BD #'s. Running same set up on straight AV gas. RK tek drop in kit with turbo domes,10-71 weights. Usually 3000-5000 ft and I've melted down twice due to high temps in low rpm, 5600 ish. Getting very frustrated.

That thing looks like a monster! Do yourself a favor...Get a tether, and call Kevin at Kmod. You will be amazed at what that can climb when you can keep it pinned with the skis down.

Thanks for posting! Cool video.
