My 2013 GoPro Edit - First ascent in the Monster? Pics and Vid!!!

As much as didn't ride as often as I anticipated, it was probably my most memorable season yet. Just the few epic days I got under my belt made the world's difference. March break week we had snow from waist to nipple deep every single day!!
Then two weeks ago my wife and I met with Laird and Cpt Ron during the 509shoot for an absolute epic day. We rode Turtle, and continued our adrenaline quest to Boulder. It was so much fun hanging out these guys, Laird I'm still shaking just imagining your Pro-Pex engine roar, that sled is literally unstoppable!!
The day ended up with [an absolute] adrenaline bang in the monster bowl. I still laugh every single time it comes to mind, and fearing it might be known as a myth in the future I'm talking bragging rights on this one and I'm naming it "The Spine". Check it out in the vid, it's the "grand finale".

Thanks Randy, you might be right, but your are undoubtedly a crazy sun of a gun too! I was actually gunning for the arm pit, but things happened so fast and I committed to the Spine before I realized what was going on!!
It's only when I landed in front of the wife's sled that I knew something was really out of whack... haha

Excellent video Felix!! May 4th was an awesome day for sure, brilliant sunshine all day, great start over at Turtle, then the crossover and up the Kirkup drainage. Climbing in 57 including the Kermit chute, then over to the Monster, and the Arm. Your climb up the Spine was so memorable, I was standing where I have many times before to capture some pictures, ..you were flying when you came into view, ..it soon became obvious that I was not going to capture any pics of this stellar climb as you were committed and locked into the line that you saw. By the time I got spun around all I got to see was you flying out the top. Angele was beside me and we both thought that you were going to get collected by the rocks, but you squeaked on by somehow. Great job of riding!

A very exciting chute climb Felix, one that we will not soon forget!!

To cap off this most excellent day, we went over to the 90 chute, where both you and Laird pulled it in grand style, launching out of the top with big air!! Right On!

Cheers to you Buddy!! Next season is only five and a half months away already!

The fine looking girl in these pictures is Felix's wife, Angele. She is a great rider in her own right and rocks her built Doo! They ride together all of the time.

The gal that you were thinking of was fine looking as well. However, she is a Snow Board Instructor from Golden, who just so happens to supplement her income by removing her clothing for payment. On that occasion she was hired to perform at a Friends Stag which was being held on top of Turbo Mountain, back in March two winters ago. It was a perfect blue ski sunshine day in March, she performed for over an hour with nothing but her boots on, haha. She was also driving Laird's Nytro around in her birthday suit, if you recall, you pulled the first pics that we posted, ..we had to photo shop on the orange bikini and resubmit the pictures on Snowest. LOL!

I will check my other computer and find some pictures that will be suitable to post for you.

I cannot find the infamous orange bikini pictures, perhaps I deleted them when house cleaning my picture albums last year. I haven't given up yet though.

Thanks, Laird's sled rocked this winter. When you combine a turbo'd Yamaha Apex engine with the best front suspension geometry and the best performing rear suspension, that's what you get, .....a combination of excellence!!
