I've had this sled for 2 years now and to say the least have always felt it should have a little something more. It's a stock motor with an HPS l.w. can, slydog skis (highly recommend), powerclaw track (also highly recommend), and an updated 3 tower clutch with 77.5g weights from Racin Station. I had all this work done prior to the snow this year and it ran well, just not like I felt it should. Last week I cracked my helix so figured I would take it to SLP and have them put a 40/36 progressive on with BD rock rollers, I put 1 extra shim in and took it out yesterday, FINALLY this is what an M1000 should feel like. It was an entirely new machine, absolutely the best upgrade I could have made. I was beating my buddy on his 08 M1000 with slp pipe kit (but no clutch work) consistently throughout the day. If many of you are wondering how to make your M1000's come alive, I would highly recommend. SLP does have different recommendations depending upon how stock, or unstock your sled is.

I have an 07 M1000 also, but I am going to have to disagree with you on the best mod... I put a Twisted Turbos pump gas kit on it :D at 5lbs of boost the thing absolutely rips!!

Ok, how about best mod to remain mostly stock, and under $150.00? I'm already dumb enough with my sled as is, if I turbo'd it you'd probably be reading about my obituary.
