MXZ 600 1999 oil pump adjustement

I m trying to adjust my oil pump to set the mixture to 40:1

if i respect the shop manuel i get around 11:1 and a lot of smoke of course.

Added spring to assure the arm is well returning even if it was working ok.

tried another used oil pump with same result.
Also i never completely fill oil tank to the hose that goes to the crank to eliminate crank seal failure.

i lower oil pump adjustement slowly and recalculate mixture, now i m at around 25:1 but adjustement is way lower than wat should be (around 1/8 inch below first mark, should be align with second mark)

Is there something i m missing?
Should i put a new pump ?

I read somewhere that the check valves on crankcase could cause that.

Any thought ?
