Grand Lake

snowed about 4 inches here in Grand Lake last night. Rained hard for a couple of hours before that... Melting now...
 
had to work in Durango today..............
most visible new sonw was on kebler pass, maybe 8in....red mtn had 2-3in of ice and snow. Molas had 1-2 and south of coal bank pass nothing..............

really didnt pan out on the w.slope.........just a lot of WIND=trees a fallin......

most will be melted by tomorrow, not really a winter storm, imo...

was glad i didnt bring the sled..........and back to work i go.......
 
I got about 5" this evening, more snow at my house than Buff pass! what a rip.
 
Yeah, RE and Buff only got an inch! The beaver ponds were frozen over this am and the lake on Muddy Pass has about 4' of ice around the edges.

Did you guys see that post in the Montana section? They got over 40"! azzhats!

Yeah, that would motivate me to put the pieces back together!

Looks like it was a hit or miss deal up there. South of Butte, which usually doesn't get all that much, according to a local, got the big dumps, while Cooke city didn't get very much at all.
 
LOL...not long now with a few good storms we will be able to talk chit in person!

confused.........does anyone remember a start so extreme up north-montana

and nothing but dry air down here, 3rd week in Oct?

then, again my memory really doesnt serve me well......friggin 60+inches up there and 0 here.
maybe winter will come in as aMONSTER in November, huh?
 
Last year was one of the best years in history. Too bad it didn't start until December 1st... (rode in oct but it was a tad "hard" on the sleds lol)
