Muffpot/hotdogger on a Pro

Considering ordering a new Pro for next year, like everything that I have heard about the sled, but haven't been able to ride one.
Now for my quick question. Where can/do you put your muffpot on the sled?
Was told that the hood doesn't come off that easily for access to the pipe.
Is there room to get at the pipe with just opening the side panels?
Any insight or pictures would be appreciated.
Thanks

Seen guys put them on the stinger right before the can. Kind of a pain to get in/out of there at that location though. I put mine right on top of the can, so it's right there when the side panel comes off. Used a long C-clamp and wrapped around the steel hoops used for the springs as an anchor point. 340 miles and haven't had to tighten it yet. Cooks food nicely.

Have mine mounted on the pipe right after the Y pipe. Heats great in that spot and takes maybe 15 seconds to get it out of there.

Full pack of cold / almost frozen chessy bratts fully heated with chese just starting to melt out of them in 45 minutes of riding. Eric

My buddy just put on a "Thing" built by Turbo Al in Revy. Has Pot built right into it. 5 minutes to intall. Sounds great.

muff pot

with the thing u have to b carefull it will burn ur food quick it works that good buddy has one on his 11 mine is mounted on the pipe right b fore the can works good also on an 11

I have an HPS can and the Muff Pott mounts nicely on top of the flange between the can and pipe. I have also seen them mounted vertically on an HPS can. I prefer my mounting posistion as it wont scratch the $339 can...

Saw one with brackets welded to top of can, I think it was an SLP.
I prefer to just wrap food in foil and throw on top of can or pipe when stopped. Doesn't take long to get it warm.

Ditto on the mount where pipe dumps into the can. Simply cut a quarter thick piece of aluminum plate approx. 1" wide by 3'' long and place between pot bracket and the pipe,(the aluminum simply fills the void between the 2 so the mounting plate wont bend when tightening down the clamp). Have had this on mine for 1220 miles and no brocken or even loosened clamps. I prefer this mount because it keeps the heat source closer to the MuffPot. One more thing purchase the MuffPot brand and not the Hot Dogger, the Hot Dogger is built much cheaper and will break the mounting plate after a few rides.

I have the standard muffpot mounted right between the silencer and pipe. No brackets or anything fancy. I put my lunch in when I leave the parking lot. It is perfectly done 99 percent of the time by lunchtime, or about 3 hours of riding. Melty cheese, crispy tortilla, toasty bread, whatever you desire. I have never had to tighten it or maintain it. It doesn't rattle or whine. It has been the most reliable thing on my snowmobile. Now I am hungry.

Muff Pot on SLP lightweight can

It heats food very well. The food will get very hot but won't burn. I wrap burritos, meat etc. in parchment paper. I usually have the MBRP trail can. I'm just trying out the SLP. The food gets way hotter with the SLP which I like better. Too bad the SLP has no bark to it.
