Searched a lot of prior threads about clutching your Pro RMK and found great input but most had changes to both primary and secondary.

Looking to try a blue/pink SLP primary spring with 68g mtx wts (1g wgt in inner and outer hole) with stock secondary set up. 6,000-8,000' set up. Anyone using this or tried it?

Thanks,

Kale

yup, mtx in mine 65 +3gr in heel, blu/pink works good, I run a lower 130/340 but thats just me most like blu/pink better, and black/purple in secondary with 3 delrins 6000-8000 ft and im a big guy 6'6" 285

bettin it works good for ya as I changed primary first and very nice change

kale, soon as you get your clutching dialed let me know, seein how we ride the same area. or if you want to get together and do some testing side by side let me know

Yes, blue/pink 68g mtx with 1g in inner 0 in outer hole, this last weekend pulled 8250 on the trail and 8100 on the hill with heavy powder at 6000 ft, going to try 0g in both holes this weekend, I do have the black - purple with one derlin in secondary. running non ethanol gas and plug, I weigh about 215

Would the 65s allow a brouder range of adjustment, say for changing elevations from 5k to 10k feet?
It seems the 68s may get slightly too heavy for 10k+?

Can these rivets be added/removed easily for adjustment? I've dealt with SuperTips on my Yamaha, and they just had set screws...very simple/easy to adjust, even with the wts in the clutch. Doesn't seem these MTX wts are quite that easy??

I paid the money and bought the MTX tool from SLP. It works great! Pull it off the pegboard put in vise and press rivets out and squeeze rivets in.

ah you peen over the rivits, but slp makes a pretty good tool to do it in the field or shop easy. I did the 65's as i fig more room to adjust , but I never ride below 6500...

what about in set up snow? I realy like to be able to pull high rpms. In an ideal world i would like to be able to pull 8300 rpm's at WOT going up the hill. I am about 230 pounds. Also, how is the backshifting.

The MTX and weight's you describe are for if you are running the SLP single pipe. You shouldn't be able to pull that much weight without a pipe. If aren't going to pipe it, add 4 grams to what you currently run and buy that size. 68's would be 6 to 8 grams heavier than any of us are running in stock form.

Run this weekend with 68 MTX wts, 0 in both holes, blue pink primary, black purple secondary, run 8300 on the trail and 8150 to 8200 on the hill in 2 ft of heavy powder at about 5500 to 6000 ft, non ethanol fuel and plug, 163 track, would hold 42 mph on steep hills. Air temps around 30 f .
