Mtn Viper starting issues

I have an issue with my 2004 mtn sxviper. Its a 700. Basically, the thing runs great, but is difficult to start, even once it is warm. I have had it in to a yamaha dealer three times, but the problem persists. It hasnt been ruining my time on the snow, but it is very annoying. Any suggestions?

Try holding the throttle cracked open slightly, when you pull it over. Should fire right off then, common with Yammie's.
For saftey you can set the park brake if desired. I always just release the throttle as soon as it fires.

Needs some more air to start up. My 2004 modded MNT Viper is the same way. It through me for a loopas I bought the sled in September. My buddy is the Yamaha dealer and he says the same thing. Mine more especially with motor mods.

No big deal.

Maybe your pilot circuit is a little lean. My 700 is the same way.

Shut off your carb heaters and/or increase your idle a bit (or if you know where the pilot is - as noted above, may need to adjust). If your set-up right, you will not have to give it a little gas.
