Son bought a yamaha snowmobile with a MTN nytro turbo. Can he remove turbo easily ,or can he just shut turbo off if not needed right now?

You will have to remove the turbo. (MTN)? Is that Mountain Tech? MTNTK. I would definitely call them for a more complete guide on what you need
to do. Not sure how the tuning was done, you may have larger injectors in there to compensate for the turbo. Either way contact MTNTK.

MTNTK does not make turbos for yamaha, I assume you mean MCX (MC-Express) turbos. It’s lot of work to remove A turbo kit and there’s parts required to return to stock. It would be best to probably consult your nearest yamaha dealer with turbo install experience if you really want to pull the kit off and don’t have much experience yourself with those sleds

What the heck do you mean “turbo not needed right now”? Always need a turbo, lol.

Hmmmm...bought a turbo and doesn't want a turbo. Honestly, I would sell it and buy a stock on for less money. Then when he wants a turbo in a couple years, sell the stock and buy a turbo. But to each his own I suppose.
