What happened to the Kx500af Monster snowbike? I haven't seen or heard of it since the couple of videos from last season. I'm itching for some big bore 2-stroke smoke. My Cr500af is almost ready but I need something to tide me over. I hope It is still out there ripping.

Its out there ripping still... Randy just isn't the one riding it. New projects, new bikes, new testing. There is always something else to fiddle with!

500 by the way

always looking for different sno bike power. So the more candid ex 500 owners suggested I keep looking. 500 2 strokes comes with triple vision and numb hands.....oh and watch for fatigue cracks. Buy hey, has someone really figured out a solution to that issue on the older 500 motors ?

ok

I appreciate that you own one and are smiling. Curious though if any of the owners out there have installed a crank that at least solves some of the vibration. I have used and tuned the kx500 in karts, and installed compression releases so they kick like a 125, and port for more power, but even the woop cranks we used, motor mounts and frames were short lived and track was paved with bolts covered in loc tite. I like the power, the motors, the whole idea, just really poor execution by Kaw and Hon in never addressing the vibration.

I got it.

Did more porting, bored carb. Added a headlight. Did some different wiring with deutz connectors in most places and got the switches relocated to the bars. Hope to get pipe built soon.

Wasn't around for quite awhile but joined back up to read about the snowbike stuff
