DOES ANYONE HAVE A TIMBERSLED MT.TAMER REAR SKID ON THEIR REV?

HOW DO YOU LIKE IT?

WHAT IS THE ACTUAL WEIGHT SAVINGS?

ANY ONE HAVE ONE FOR SALE?

THANKS

I'm putting one in this weekend actually. My cousin is selling me the one he has out of his 1000 before he puts it up for sale. When I switch skids I'll be sure to weigh them to see what the weight differnece is. From riding my cousin's sled I notice that the skid does'nt seem to trench and wheelie as much which I guess is what the skid is intended to do. My cousin had it setup really stiff because he is about 150 pounds heavier than me, so I'm looking forward to trying the skid setup for my weight. I will let you know after the weekend what I think.

Got to ride the mtn tamer skid this weekend and I have to say I love it. The ride is pretty good and the skid is awesome in the hill. I was climbing some pretty holed out and rutted hills and the sled stayed pretty level through the chop without ever wanting to come over backwards. I would recomend it.

It was about 5 pounds, but that was doing a complete skid swap and the skid that had the timbersled had rail reinforcements, 4 wheel kit with a heavy axle, terra alps rise axle kit(beefy) and it had a beefed up steel shaft in the front shock. My stock skid had ice age rails, no reinforcements, two wheel axle kit and a lighter rear axle. I would say there is a pretty good weight saving if you were comparing apples to apples, but unfortunetly we were not. In my opinion the way the skid works is the reason to buy it, the weight savings is just the icing on the cake.
