Might be headed that way this coming wkend any one have a conditions report (can't read past post #75 on the shasta thread:face-icon-small-sad)? Winter storm warning and a lot of new snow tonight it sounds like but it coming in a little hot....

Snow?

I would not recommend it. The snow has been terrible and there are trees down everywhere still. In fact I think all the snow melted last week.

Actualy the coverage is great and there will be some great snow. It has been a little warm but it has been snowing. Last Saturday was outstanding until about 1 and it warmed up. There is a group of 4 of us heading out tomorrow through Saturday. If you are not staying at the park get there early. It has been extra busy lately, possibly due to the fact that Oregon doesn't have as good of conditions.

Awesome ride today in the Eddys. We accessed the north end of the eddys and the road is getting washed out. Only tracks we saw were coming home out of Fawn Creek.:face-icon-small-sho:face-icon-small-hap Lots of great powder on north facing slopes and the snow was still great everywhere else.

Joel,

We ran into Bob and the gang at the first bridge going home. They broke trail for us out of Fawn Creek. Phil and I really appreciated that. There is starting to be a lot of wash outs. I think Toad Lake road is done.:mad2: Lots of snow but those south exposed sections have a lot of dirt. I haven't been calling you because I've been out with bronchitis the past 2 weekends. Sunday looks like my only day to ride next weekend.

Great ride today in the north end of the eddys. Dave and Mary came down from Roseburg and Silvertip(John) came up and joined Phil and I. First 5 pics are from last weekend and last 4 are from today. Awesome conditions.

Good ride today with Silvertip and Phil. Snow was good, but light was flat because of low clouds and we had rain and snow off and on all day. One picture from today.

Sunday

With the light bad and snowing off and on all day we had to stay out of the clouds and in the trees all day to have a good ride. But even with the bad light Kale and Phil still took me on a very good ride.
Only one Pic. all day and that was at lunch.

Good ride today in the northern eddys. Snow was a little harder than last weekend but the new snow covered up the old tracks.:face-icon-small-hap I lost my 2 better pictures. One of Cement Lake and one of our group members checking his track on a steep climb. Access will be tough for about two weeks because of the snow on the final switchback turn and the bare pavement.
