Mt. Baker open?

Northwest glacier cruiser snowmobile club just posted on Facebook Baker is still closed(( hopefully soon enough it will be open.

US Forest Service says it's closed!

I called today and the recording states it's closed and the office is closed until Monday 12/29.

Need a lot of snow

Rode Anderson Watson on Sunday and we didn't hit snow until 4000 ft and by snow I mean any/2". Schriebers meadows is around 3000-3500, elbow lake snotel is your most accurate measure for snow at the meadows and it's at 5" now. Schriebers/baker won't be open for awhile they need 24" to open. Merry Christmas.

Ride

If your itching to go for a ride Anderson Watson is a couple miles past schriebers meadows, just follow the road through the baker lake campground and across the dam drive up logging road until you find snow.

If you go to A& W be prepared to ride over a large 3 Ft tree. We built a ramp with chunks of limbs and snow over it but if you have a trail sled you may have to get a run at it.
