Mt Baker Film Festival

FWIW:

Have you tried contacting the North Bend Theater?
They have been doing a good job working with Pro Ski in North Bend to promote ski films on the weekends. Getting a pretty good turn out too.
Considering how many sledders there are on the East side, they may consider it. Perhaps I-90 or EastSide could co-sponsor...?

Edited to add: nice footy

kick ***.. there's some great clips in there..

only problem i got with sled flicks really is "why does almost every single sled flick maker out there use the homie core/bad metal music?" not to knock your vid at all cuz the clips are awesome! pro clips for sure..

congrats on getting sleds into the festival.. hope it goes over well and opens some eyes and doors for the future.. lotta greenies up there..

They even had a BEER GARDEN!!! :beer;:D

Congrats to you guys....it'll be interesting to see what the lift riders think once they see what fun in the snow really looks like? Might be a really good year for MB Motor Sports;)

AJ, we should head up there and watch, eh?

If you have seen any of our other films we usually use Dave Mathews. But we had a little trouble getting the rights for his music to use it at the Festival. Mainly it was a money issue if you know what I mean. Turns out I would rather put a whistle on my sled than pay that kind of royalty. Snowmobile videos just don’t generate the coin to pay for the Warren Miller Sound track. So we found a local band that donated their music. They are actual quite talented if you are into the heavy metal.

i hear ya on the royalty thing.. and i'm sure part of the festival submission rules were that you owned rights to the music regardless whether you are selling the video or not.. been down this block too..
i like all your videos.. not really agreeing with Dmatthews either ;) haha.. but you guys have some great clips!! and are very good riders to boot.. :beer;:beer;
i was only feeling like i needed to speak out on behalf of all films sledwise.. to much bad music!!! perhaps the wrong thread :rolleyes:

hope the show it goes over well!

next time u want some killer B-ham local music to use for something like this.. ping me, i got some contacts up yonder :)

Thanks Lushbomb!!! I will hit you up next season for some music options. Now I just want some snow so we can start filming for next year! We need to find some people willing to huck for the Camera. As you can see our sleds don't leave the ground real often.

Cool vid and congrats on acceptance. I wish I could make the showing but can't seem to find an open evening these days.

Nice footage and agree with AJ...nice to recognize some local spots and a great event put on by the Glacier Cruisers!!

Nice job.:beer;

I pointed this thread out to a local on the Pass that is know for hucking larger aspects (and sticking it) up here. If you grew up in Maple Valley, you may even know him. I wouldn't be surprised if you hear from him.
