What time do you guys usually get up there, what and park do you ride out of? I've never rode baker before but would love to join. Its a 4.5 hour drive for me though. Shoot me a pm with the details and I'll see if I can make it.

"breaking trail on 6" of heavy new at 5:45am, 3,200ft...telemetry was correct and knowing it was going to be a lower angle lap through old growth, we were curious of the 18" of new above 5k...pit profile at 5,200 answered expectations:

isolated CT on WSW 28 degree slope; 155cm from surface to 9 day old rain crust (bonding to that layer is decent and could not find the hoar layer observed around Stevens)

1st 20 cm failed on 2nd light wrist tap
2nd 20 cm failed on 1st wrist tap
3rd 20 cm failed on 3rd wrist tap

Pulled the skins to make for a short lap and get out from under steeper terrain...first 400ft skied well...then a mine field of tree bombs and dense thermal layer back to the car made for fine physio training and lower knee stabilizer strengthening! no matter what the conditions, we are always blessed with a great hike!...be careful out there amigos! Mashed potatoes

Rode today working on a little video, sulfur, and grade had slid in spots looked to be caused by sleds, pheanut had also slid looks like on its own, slabs looked to be 8-16" deep at break line. We rode the flats, river bed and meadows for most of the day. Be safe out there it's only gonna get worse with the snow tonight. It was just starting to re freeze and get an icy layer and started snowing pretty heavy on our way out at 4:00.
