MPI 180 Turbo MPG

You will need a spare can, i carry 3 gallons. I have to add fuel almost everytime. When the powder is new and deep I have to shorten my ride even with the three extra galloons. I have a dealer acount at roto pax they are the best let me know if you want me to get you one. They have the 2, 2.5, and three gallon. let me know whhat you want and I will get you a price.

I average 9mpg average over the season. Best day was 86 miles powder,road,trees,climbs...stock tank totally dry when ski tips touched the trailer ramp.

What's the price on the 2 or 3 gallon with the correct mounting hardware I have a 2011 tnytro mpi 180 turbo.

Your dealer can order you a oversize tank that will bolt right on and doesn't feel much bigger then the stock while your riding. Its a must have in Colorado deep snow

Did you ever get your MPI kit running properly? I've really enjoyed mine. I've noticed that you are very unhappy with MPI. I hope the install goes correctly on your Impulse so you don't have to sell it and buy an MCX at the rate your going.

I've only one complaint with MPI and that was the oil return line. They did fix it though. Tracking down your other quotes:

MPI make bad mileage. Others 180 kits make better.

Proof?

Bought new nytro this fall. Enough trouble setting it. Bought the push kit. Removing MPI

User error

Oh yeah MPI wants race fuel above 4.5 psi. They are set at 4.5. Push is set at like 8 and makes 198 HP. Plus has larger air tubes

Intended boost values are 4 to 5 PSI at WOT at Sea Level and 7 PSI at or above 10,000 feet.

If you are riding deep powder in the boost it will suck fuel, even the pump gas kits. Carry gas. i can easily burn through a tank before noon on mine when its deep.

if you are riding trails all day you might be ok.

Well according to other turbo kit places. The MPI kit is 160 horse. For how long I drove mine I believe it. My dealer isn't very knowledgable on a turbo MPI. And many calls to MPI for help got me know where. Clutching is my biggest gripe. It's Stupid to think that the only thing you would have to change is clutch weights to when changing it to a turbo. My other biggest complaint is the MPI Turbo requires race fuel at higher boost where the Push does not

Also why does the MPI not make a chatter when you let off the gas from the turbo like the Arctic cat or the push turbo kits

Of course the other guys are going to talk down the competition - I wouldn't expect anything less. My dealer has set up and sold both Push and MPI turbos - I rode both and they were nearly identical (9 psi is 9 psi). I run pump 91 at 10k feet and have no issues. I dump in a little Torco as a piece of mind in case I get some bad fuel from the pump.

MPI's bypass valve sounds different then the BOV that Push uses. They both accomplish the same thing.

There are lots of MPI kits running around that work just fine (mine included) that sucks that you had a bad experience - I hope your dealer is not charging you for all of these installs and re-installs of turbo kits, if they are you need to find a better place to work with.

No 4.5 psi they are set at. Can go 7 with a 400 reprogram. I'm talking pump gas. Can show you my chart

I am running 9psi @ 10,000 feet with no re-program. It is the base GEMS controller that came in the box, nothing else. Just telling you what I am running - I know what their chart says :)

Ok, well I want to keep my warranty and they said if I change it and it blows up they won't cover

Okay so what is the best skis that should be put on the front and the A-arm changes that should be made
