Do you need coolant temp hooked to the mpem?

I have the : coil, 2 magneto plugs, and frame harness/dess.

I was going to run my temp to my digtron gauge.
2003 zx with 2001 830 mod motor.

I left the sensor hooked to the MPEM and just looped it around and wire tied it to some other wires. It is just hanging there, my Digitron is hooked to the head.

No, All it does and turn on the idiot light when it hits predetemined temp. Overheating.

Depending on the MPEMs programming, i know on the Ptek's it will automatically shut down the sled if you leave it idle too long and it heats up...

Just dont fire it up and walk away for 20min!
