Moving idler wheels from outside to inside?

Currently, I have just under 900 miles on orig hifax.
I'm very close to minimum wear limit.
And what I notice is most the wear is about right at the point where idlers would mount on the inside of the rails, in the middle of the skid.
The wear looks very minimal in front of the stock-outside idlers.

What I'm wondering is if I can simply move the stock-outside idlers to the middle-inside mount location.
I'm assuming the mounts are the same, just mounted on the inside instead of out??

I think this will help further with carving/sidehilling, not like its an issue anyway...but hey, its free and easy.

Let me know if any of you have already done/tried this, and how it effected hifax wear.

Have you thought of just pulling all your wheels off and running scratchers, if so why not?

I have and use scratchers whenever I'm on the trail.
Its a Pro, so I believe they were/are stock; scratchers that is.

Most the wear is forward of the scratchers.

Think I'll just try to relocate the wheels and keep an eye on wear near the front bend.

Maybe I can at least finish the season on these hifax then anyway.

No problems at all, I installed all 6 idlers on my pro...ZERO issues and there is no way it changes the handeling at all. And yes I always run scratchers.... I'm just sick of all this hyfax "oh I gotta stop and kick snow on my hyfax" ,"oh there shot in 300 miles' ect lol....jk but really the idelers work great, and if ya move them and not run the front ones it will wear up there as well. So imho order up 4 more and not worry...:face-icon-small-coo

and if ya really must look super cool and worry abput the 1 pound you are adding buy the carbon fiber ones from nextec, it will also lighten your wallet some.....lol

i have got 1582 miles on mine ... Hyfaxes are looking like NEW.. only using the front two wheels and side kicks stratchers..
