Mounting tabs for front bumper

I broke the mounting tabs for the front bumper and was wondering if anybody has welded them. Seems like it is aluminum of some sort.

B and m has a stronger bumper that doesn't use those i believe.

I have welded them.
They break right next to the weld.
Use the overstructure mounts.

I've got the Van Amburg and it does mount up to the over structure instead of the tabs. You also completely remove the internal vertical support and part of new bumper will replace it. It's supper solid !! I decided on this one after finding some good info on here reference this bumper.
