I know that i go to the stock hooks in the bed with turn buckles and never had a problem, my pops bolted his down into is bed and it never had any problems either. I like Decks more because you can get to more places ecpesically like at baker were there are one lane roads and if you have to back down its way easier. And you get alot of weight back there which helps.

I like decks more just because you get all that weight back there and its a lot easier when you got to back down a one lane road without a trailer.
i normally use a turnbuckle on each corner inside the box to the anchors in my gmc. when i have them tight i pass a wire tie through the turnbuckle and the anchor to keep it from working loose.i've hauled 2 sleds at a time or 1 round bale of hay all over hell and back with no probs.(even during some cross country romping to drop off the hay-long story-lol).through bolting does sound a lot safer though
