mounting locations for dragon

just finishing up my wife's 700 dragon and was curious where the best place was to mount a cooker and if anyone has a snow bungy fit under the hood?
thanks....mm

Right after the Y pipe for your cooker. I honestly don't see where you could possibly put a Snobunje under the hood without melting the elastic bands. I have mine wrapped around the rear bumper, others hook it around their steering post/riser, inside a rear storage bag, or hooked around a rear rack.

Cut a hole in the alum nose pan cover under the front of the pipe and shove it in there. That's pretty hollow under there and it really doesn't even need to be there. That will protect it some from the heat and will keep other storage open for extra beer :face-icon-small-coo

The wrapping around the rear bumper thing is so Jed Clampet!

Where can i buy a lottery ticket? "Next thing you know old Jed's a millionaire" :face-icon-small-hap

BTW, that's a super clean under hood pic there! Nice ride!!

Thanks, that was taken a few years ago when I took the front end apart to install my Skinz bumper...still looks good in there though. I meticulously maintain my stuff and like to keep things clean so I can quickly see possible issues.

There is no way I'd put it there. One big reason... you gotta get it out while the pipe is burning hot! LOL 2nd reason, that's pretty close proximity to a burning hot pipe while riding.

Mike, put the muffpot right after the Y-Pipe, everything gets nice and toasty there! :) Use 2 marine grade clamps too.

I've seen a few peeps wrap the bungie around the seat support in a figure 8 fashion and stay. FWIW You might be able to fashion a holder above the spare belt/clutch cover??

Mine always came loose mounted next to the "Y" pipe, I ended up mounting it where the pipe and can come together. It takes a little longer for things to heat up but the side panel helps hold it in place and it's easy to get to. This is on an 08 D8 with SLP pipe and can, the 700 might be different
