Mounting egts

Just wondering if anybody has any advice for mounting egts on a 2007 summit 800r. Im looking for placement and possibly how you connected your power source. Any other information would be much appriecated

Not sure what type of a gauge you are going to be using, but this is what I did for mounting my Avenger III gauge on my 07 Summit X.
As for wiring, on my gauge, yellow wire tapped into the yellow wire off the regulator, red wire (power) tapped into one of the fuses on the left hand side of the sled, and black wire to a bolt on the frame.

I just have the simple double koso egts. I just dont want to mount them were they are in the open and able to break off

I've always set them up on a bracket below the handlebars, and below the steering post. Using a Digatron or Avenger you can easily reach the playback buttons, easy to read, and if you ever take off the hood, the guage is always with you.

Mounting probes

All of your questions have been answered except that the probes are to be located 2 1/2 inches from the exhaust ports of your engine on each side of the Y pipe.

Ski-Doo race manual says mount probes 4" from the face of the piston and if using the Y-pipe be sure you check your plugs if you're over 1200 degrees

i taped into the unused plug beside the speed sensor(used for electric start) both ground and hot wires... placed digatron probes 100mm back from piston skirts... am having a issue of probes falling out or going to the bottom of the y pipe over the course of a day, might need to bronze or jb weld them in place, maybe someone else has a better idea??

seen over 1200f between 6-6500rpm, then falls off to less than 1000 on wot

i also found a difference of over 150 degreesf between cylinders on idle and midrange... by adjusting the air/fuel screws(in leaner---out richer) they are now with in a few degrees apart

picture of where the probes are

Does someone have a picture of the probes in the y pipe? I'm doing some on a 04 800. The measurements put it by the ext. valves. I could use some pictures to see how people have put them in.

Thanks
