I just wanted to do a post to explain our clamps and how we came up with our design. We pride ourselves in providing quality products that improve your backcountry experience and that keep you on the snow. Our engineers have spent a lot of time and effort to design a clamp that is strong and balanced so not to add any vibration (or bearing failure) to your sled. Our design encapsulates the entire shaft and does not distort it. Distorting the shaft breaks the glue joint and causes failures. We do this by only having a very small gap between the 2 pieces of the clamp. Because there are no thin areas on our clamp, equal forces are applied around the entire hexagonal shaft. Another key design point is that the 2 pieces interlock and keep the pieces aligned. The clamps are precision machined out of billet 6061 aluminum to high tolerances for an accurate fit on all shafts. We have our clamps on stockers and turbo sleds with hundreds of miles without failures. Like us on Facebook and watch for other new products.
