Mountain Max Jet/Clutch help.

I need jetting/clutching set up for 1000 feet at 0-20 degrees F

2002 Mountain Max 700
Bender Triples Pipes
151 Camo Challenger

Stock 8CR weights
46-42 Hartman Helix

Thanks

Main jets, 145s across the board. Pilots, stock. Needles, middle clip, both washers underneath clip. Fuel screw at 2 turns out.

4.5 inner rivit, and 2.4 outer. Might that should get you in the 8700 or so rpm range. If it revs a bit too high at WOT, then might have to go to more weight in the tip. That will get you real close though. If you have any more questions, let us know. And, let us know exactly what its doing, and we can fine tune it from there, but this will get you close.

Oh, stock green helix will work,, set it at 80 degree wrap...

152.5 main jets
52.5 pilots
raise needles 1/2
fuel screws out to 2 turns
the 8cr,s won,t be heavy enuff loaded to the nuts with that helix; look for a 52/44ish.
been der dun dat with 3 sleds(bender piped 700,s) at that altitude.

I am looking to buy a different set of weights to run at the low elevation. If the 8CR will not work what should I get? I dont want to get into switching out rollers though.

I am going to keep my 8CR's set to high evelvation, and get a second set of weights to throw in when I run at the 1000 feet elevation. TO keep from changing the rivets all the time.

I just need a set up to run the ditchs and fields at home here in flatlands. I have not riding my sled at home in years. I always go West a few times a year. And have never changed anything to ride at the lo elevation.

I gotta digress... I for some reason thought that was higher altitude! Geez... I gotta pay better attention here! Yeah, Turk is bang on!
What a dummy I am. For the Benders, you might be ok with that helix and the 8CRs, loaded right up... but, I think you will need a steeper helix, with the silver spring. The 51 straight isnt too bad either, at that altitude, with a silver spring, and the 8crs, loaded up pretty good.

My appologies, and good catch Turk! The jetting would be a touch lean too!
Not sure if I would go with 152.5s on the mains, but it would sure be safe! I have found that the stock pilots at 1500' or lower seem to be good, and anything bigger is a bit fat off idle. But, it probably wouldnt make much difference.... splitting hairs.
