Mountain Machine Prod. MMP freedom axle NEED CONTACT INFO!!!!!

Hey All, I bought a Freedom Axle back in October around Thanksgiving. I never got the damn thing I called and emailed and got 1 lame excuse, I asked for a refund or the product at this point. I have since Googled them and no longer see a web site for them? I see the product sold by other companies now?

Does any one know how I can get back in touch with them? I hate to be out $150.00, I gave them the benefit of doubt on a refund, 4 months of bank statements says no! TIA

Did some more searching looks like im not the only one!!! Did any one get there parts that were ordered around the end of last year?

I called in early December for an axle and wheels for an m8. The lady said it will ship out that day. Next week, nothing. I called her two times a day for 3 days and she said they were in the process of moving to a new building and only had one style available (not the one I wanted) she said, do you want it and I am damn lucky I said yes. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but sounds like this happens a lot with these guys.

Just tell them to give you the one i sent back a couple years ago that they forgot to send me my money back even after I gave them several reminders LOL. Crooks in my book, good luck, hope you come out better than I did.

Its a shame because MMP was a pretty good company at one time and did nice machine work on their parts. I had very good luck dealing with them. I believe they gave the company over to their son and he must have run it into the ground like so many small businesses in the poor economy. I ordered bearing from them last season 10/11 and again did not have a problems but had to deal with Maria's son. All my other dealings prior where with Maria the owners wife i believe
I also noticed that their web site went down and then its back up under a completely new name. it says its out of, of all places las vegas, NV. i think its called speed sports. Try giving them a call and ask if they bought the company and would work with you somehow. it is worth a shot. you never know they may to raise a little good PR. sorry to hear you got screwed but it sounds like they went bankrupt which of course means you out the 150 for sure.

Damn shame the axle I did get doesn't put the rear wheels on the ground!
If nothing else I hope who ever really needed the $150

I got a lot of excuses from bad secretary she was to take care of all of it and
didn't so I fired her. I had a bad crash been in the hospital for a month and
on and on and on. I finlly got my stuff it was wrong so I had to mill it to make it work good luck here is a few numbers I found

I think they were out of Montana. but the old link to their web address sends you to a new company based out of Las Vegas Nevada called Speed Sport. They show all the freedom axles and only a couple of style of alum. wheels but none of the composite stuff. They may have sold the rights to the company. The last time i saw them at a snow show in Salt Lake City a few years ago now they were getting into solar charging systems for the outdoor sports.

That's the excuse I got parts were machined wrong and had to be redone!

Wildchild on here makes outstanding products. Just had him make me a set of custom length rail extensions for 8" wheels and an axel to run 2 inner wheels. Very reasonably priced and 2 weeks total from start to finish. Next time you need something give him a try.

Where are they physically located?

217 Woodlin Ln, Thompson Falls, MT 59873. I got an axle from them in 2010 with out a problem, even got a couple of bearings from Ben last summer.

they are out of business. I have tried for 3 months to contact them (through several different venues) to no avail. got a freedom axle and it broke the first ride on it. Crappy engineering of the axle looked to be the problem. anyhow, good luck, I am looking for a different vendor for an axle now.

fastlane make a good axle and two wheel kit and 9 in wheels from 8 in with offset axle..
excellent quality and strength

Maria and Steve owned the company at first.
Ben is the second eldest son on Maria and grew up within the business.

Ben is not the reason for the shoddy business practices. He simply grew up watching business from his mother and looks to have kept the streak alive.

Ben was a great kid when I knew him, I'd call him a friend all day long, I find external forces being the reason things didn't/aren't going well.

Don't blame Ben for his lack of business sense, blame his mentors.

Either way, sucks that people are out of money, but it's been happening that way for 10+ years now. The story goes way way deeper than ANYONE realizes.
