Mountain Destinations

I am from Minnesota. I've done Togwotee, Snowies, West, and IP. All great places. I'm looking for some new adventures. I'm an old man and want to get older. Any suggestions for a week of fun mountain riding in mid to late February?

Try the Big Horns, Cooke City its not that bad you can pick your poison there if you want. Kings Hill in the Little Belt Mountains is also pretty good when they have good snow. Just my .02 cents

Try Whitefish, Montana. A few great area's to sled. One of my favorite is called 'Canyon Creek' Excellent playing and some climbing with easy access everywhere from the groomed trails. Plus you can ride to the top of the ski hill summit. THey have a chalet up there with a full service bar! Luxury sledding. :D :beer;

Colorado. 'nuff said:)
Granted, I want to go up and experience some of what Revy has to offer but, a bit closer is Colorado

Wolf Creek, Flat Tops, Grand Mesa, Black Mesa, Silverton, Rabbit Ears, Buffalo Pass, Cameron Pass, Vail.............you are going to find phenomenal riding just about all of these areas. (And there are many more)

UTAH, Fairvirw, wolf creek, tower mountain, monty cristo, tony grove. We rode with some guys from minnesota last year a few times here. They seamed to like the terrain. Look me up if you come this way.

northern b.c no crowds tons of snow-smithers, terrace, kitimat & stewart you aint going to find much better & you can ride mild or wild.:D:beer;

Been to Cooke, IP, Mccall, Alpine, Ruby's, Tony Grove, Togwotee and live in big snow country.
Best time ever was Alpine, locals will tell you where to go (sucky areas). I had to tell them that their riding is little, and I'm not bringing my money back next year. I got some good info after that, it got me into some of the best riding of my life.

cooke is a really good time, and staying right in town and great sledding is like 5 miles away, hard to beat. done it once, and gonna do it again.

I have a cabin in Neihart (Kings Hill) and I would not go there. We get maybe 1 or 2 big dumps a year, but its childish. If youre coming all that way, head to Cooke. The hills are steaper, the snow is deaper, and the area is much more scenic.
