Has anyone ever tried the rear suspension from mountain addiction, I have been looking at getting one, but want to know if they work very well and how much weight do they save. I now have a 2004 summit rev 151, this is the sled I want to put the suspension on.

Redbull, the skid rocks in the deep snow, it pops up on top really fast. It also rips on climbs with big bumps, it sucks up just about anything you can throw at it. However the trail riding is about as bad as it gets. I don't ride the trail, with the exception of getting to the mountain, but that little bit is brutal. It's very rough and wants to throw you over the bars in the woops.
I do have the same skid in my zx and it is alot better to handle on the trail, not good by any means, but better then my rev. I think the problem with the rev is that the skid jacks the back of the sled up to high, transfering even more weight to the front. It really seemed to screw up the trail geometry, instead of sucking up the bumps, it wants to bash though them.
Good luck.

i have an ekholm in my RX1 which is pretty much identical to the mountain addiction. yes it does raise the sled up quite a bit in the back. lots of travel. Works very very well in deep snow and on climbs transfers very well. The trail actually isnt too bad depending on how the shocks are set up. My trails are usually pretty nice because not many people ride in Southern Colorado around the wolf creek area so i dont have too many mogul problems.

We have 2 of them in our sleds. Mine, a 1M mod and a M-Series with a Cutler 1 liter. CLimbing, it's awesome, but the trail ride is horrible. Either you have a good trail skid - but it won't be set up for the mtns, or a wicked mtn skid with little trail capabilities when it comes to this skid.

I also raised mine an inch into the tunnel so the back end squats a little better. I also kept the front end a little higher than normal to help offset the rear end. I love my set-up but would seriously consider a K-Mod or EZ for my next skid. Unless I boost a 4-stroke(which is my plan) then there's no replacement for a M-10.

Sounds good, I will keep doing some research. I would not mind it, but it does seem awfull expensive.

waste of money, sled handles like crap. I've never seen one work any better than the stock did

Mine works awesome. It just goes to show you that some people can make stuff work and some can't with about anything you buy.
The only problem with the mountain addiction skid is a rebound issue that can be resolved. You don't really lose much weight with the skid.
It is the best sh*t holin suspension out there. Mine is on an 06 rev 151 and I wouldn't trade it for anything. There are suspensions out there that work better in some stuff. I like my ez ryde for jumping off stuff.

I made that last post before i had a Supercharger. Now that i have a supercharger, this suspension is just working so much better. It keeps the skis just a couple inches off the snow on a climb which is perfect for me. Transfers great and works very well in deep snow

actually, I would like to run an offset axle kit for the 9" wheel and run a 10" and I think that would take up the space. If not, it's a spendy experiment.
