Watch this video that powermodz put together to test the latest Rekon lineup from motorfist. The test these guys do is somewhat not real life situational, but definitely puts the gear through the tests!! We think it shows how good the gear can perform, what do you think??

Always looking for an excuse to wear my stompers...feel like slippers!
...and yes, I'm going green! :face-icon-small-coo

Great gear! Now I just have to talk them into producing a nice light weight shell. I still haven't figured out why everyone for the most part wear heavy insulated gear. Layers is where its at. I wear a thin base layer, light fleece, and a lightweight wind shell big enough to go over a chest protector. A lot lighter and less restrictive. If you're getting cold out there then ride harder :face-icon-small-ton

Have you looked at there gear in person? My recon jacket is pretty thin. I don't believe it has any insulation in it. I agree layering is where it's at and defiantly don't like the big bulky outer wear.

Absolutlely love my rekon bibs and valkyrie gloves. Lightweight, dry and very comfortable.

Plus there warranty department is second to none!!

I have a pair of Valkyrie gloves..............they are "ok". I rode in the snow last weekend and they got cold, wet, and frozen a few hours into the ride. I dont know if any other gloves would have faired better or not in those conditions. That being said, my Arcteryx jacket and pants kept me completely dry!

i really like their bibs...light/warm/dry/...and stretch in the right places...

as needed in the future to replace my other items im definately giving motorfist a prime chance for consideration..

Really like their Stomper boots and socks, my only complaint would be their boot sizes run small. My size twelve in Stomper boot feels like a 11.5, where as my Klim boot feels spot on size wise. The Stomper boot feels much lighter and quality seems to be there as well..................

I bought MY 2012 recon bibbs and coat this season at the snowshow. Some one from motorfist (I dont want to say who) helped fit me with the correct sizes. I'm 5-11 and 170 lbs. I usually wear lg. I was talked into a medium. The coat fits great. Usually the sleeves r too short but iwas told that motorfist has the longest sleeve in the industry. Ok. The bibs seemed a little tight but length seemed good. Again motofist has a longer inseam than most others. Ok . Well when I got home I had to wait for over a month before my first ride. With my underarmor compression bottoms and sixsixone knee pads the bibbs arr very tight on my legss and I cant lift my leg 90deg. It makes it very hard to ride. Also when sitting on my sled the bibbs rr atleast 6" from the bottom of my boots. I contacted motofist by email from the business card I was given when i was fitted . Email s where exchanged for about a week then nothing. That was before christmas. So now I have a brand new pair of bibbs I cant wear!

^^^ I don't believe that for one second. You can call anyone there and be taken care of immediately.

I have dealt with their customer service several times.

1. WOT gloves that I won were the wrong size, I called and the right size was sent that day.

2. My Sidehill jacket started to tear on the front pocket last season. I called and a "loaner" jacket (brand new) was sent out that day. I was never without a jacket. I sent in mine for the repair at no cost to me and got it back in a week and you couldn't even tell where the seam was repaired.

3. I got a hoody that was XL but was still too small. Seems that the wrong tag got sewn in, but they sent me a brand new one that had the correct size.

4. My 2012 WOT gloves got a small slit in the finger, exposing the waterproof layer. New ones sent the very same day I called.

5. The breathebox that came with my helmet was too small so I called and Jake went out and handbuilt me a new one to make sure I was taken care of. I only had to wear my F4 lid one weekend.

So, I'd say that they are top notch and giving it 110% to treat folks right. Regardless of the fact that they hooked me up this year or not, my opinion would remain the same. I sold my Klim gear even before they hooked me up.

100% top notch service for me when I got my Rekon pants two years ago.
Had to send them back for a resize, and they got new ones in the mail before I even sent mine back to them.

MAJOR props from me on that deal for sure.

The toe of the sole on my Stompers peeled off. They wanted to see them. Dropped them in the mail...and I had a brand new pair before Friday. Didn't miss a weekend of riding.

I'm about to send my pants in for a zipper....I'll go out on a limb and predict that they are FAST on that one too. Just sayin from previous experiences.

^^Thats exactly y didn't want to post anything. I'm not trying to bash them.
I have all of the emails! I'm not out to get anyone! I just feel burnt. If I Had another 3-400 $ to throw around I would have just bought another pair and kept the med for my boy when he grows a little more. But I have to wear my 3-4yr old skidoo bibs and have a wet *** every weekend! I really couldn't afford them at the time but I was tired of having a wet ***!

I luv the jacket and I think the bibs would awesome if they fit me. I'm looking at getting the boots and helmet too.

I dont like asking for any freebies! In fact when I purchased the gear I was given a business card and told to e-mail him when I got home and he would send me and my boy each a free motorfist t-shirt. I thought that was really cool. But I didnt because I feel weird asking for freebies.

I have klim gear also. I have never made a warranty claim on any of it. When I wear it out from what I determine normal wear and tear I go buy new to replace it. Because I like how it performs and don't expect it to last forever!

Because of people like u, accusing me of being dis-honest. I dont like to share my experiences wether it be good or bad.
I'm done sharing!

We make mistakes and like to hear the feedback. Like I told you summ8rmk, we will be contacting you. I think your problem was legit. It's a lot of money and we get the issues with getting gear that works. We will figure this out.

On that note....I think a thread like this brings up things we like to hear and we have the stones to hear it and respond. You can find us here. PM me and we will take care of you with whatever.

I have gotten a TON of PMs over the years about how to improve product or tell us we suck or not suck. We can take it. We also get a lot of praise and votes of confidence from folks like you guys on here. We have some guides and such that literally ride and LIVE in out gear 24/7. WE have guys that live in the gear that are not guides or the like but feed horses and literally work in out gear 24/7. Whatever your abuse scale we plan to outfit it. Gear does have a "lifespan" and won;t last forever. WE try to make it as long as possible.

Sometimes I have gotten just complete misunderstandings on how the gear is to work or how to layer or.....you name it.

Al Gore invented this intranet-ing thing. And we think we can handle him and his idea :)

I love my Valkyrie gloves, been using them for 3 years now. IMO any leather glove needs a product like sno seal melted into the leather to help make it waterproof. I do this to my gloves a couple times a year.

Dammit Beavis, that was my thumbs down. Sorry.
That's what i get for posting from my phone.

I'm all thumbs today.
If i had a nickel for every time I've heard that one.
