Looks like one of those Walmart helmets..............probably made it the same country

It is probably made in the same country. But it is made at the only plant that can attach the EPS liner to helmet in the world with the Kali Fusion Tech. They own the plant. Othere helmets are farmed out to who knows where. If you do wear it into Walmart you would get some high fives and a beer. People that frequent Wal-Mart are excellent.

SNELL is not the standard. SNELL will have a comparable standard next year. There is a mile long explanation of this but there is a short write up someone put together about it. One of the keys here is that MotoGP racers use ECE and trust it over others.

Here's a link to a quick read on it.

That is a great article explaining Dot, Snell and ECE. So Motorfist is using the ECE and this helmet passes that standard?

Polzin...you contact me this fall. I won't sell direct to you cause we won't end-around a dealer, but I will do something for a flag carrying, MotorFist crew member.:face-icon-small-win

Every helmet sold legally in the U.S. has to be dot approved.

Snell is over rated.

The DOT rating simply indicates that a manufacturer believes that its helmet meets the basic DOT standards, without any actual testing on the helmets themselves. In that sense, DOT ratings are fairly easy to come by, and virtually anybody can make and sell a helmet with a DOT sticker. Fortunately, DOT personnel periodically buys helmets and sends them to independent labs for testing to assure that they actually do meet the standard. The results are posted on the NHTSA website in a pass/fail form. You might be surprised to learn that more than half of all helmets recently tested with the DOT sticker on them actually failed DOT's lab tests

Not to mention Chinese manufactures have been known to copy certification labeling and place it on there nock-off merchandise.

And put me down for a red/black helmet when they come out.

Our guy owns the factory. He is there 200 days a year. The tech in the helmet is patented. It is the only helmet made at that factory and uses tooling that only they have.

If he put a DOT sticker on it he would be a huge looser and we wouldn't pay for anymore trips to Idaho. He may have to stay in the plant.:face-icon-small-win

But yes some places a fake sticker maybe used. Most reputable companies keep this under control.

Makaio, we will hold you one. Fear not.
