I received the notice for my motorcycle tabs today.....$48.75!!!

I can't figure out why they are so much for a little XT225......

I am not giving the $5 to State Parks!!!!

Holly - The state is getting tricky and already added in the $5 for Parks. When you renew, you can opt out and the price drops $5 to $43.75. I think all m/c's are the same these days......I have 15, don't lic. all, but that's the price I see.........G'luck...

Just paid $120 for a 8 year old truck. So much for the $30 tabs we voted into law several years ago. I believe the tabs for this same truck were under $50 a few years ago. Time to pass another $30 tab bill??? Maybe they'll honor it this time?? probably not-

State just snuck around the $30 tabs by charging for tonnage on anything over 3800lbs I believe.

I just transfered title on a 08 nChev van I bought from out of state---Talk about hurt--2800 in sales tax--875 in RTA Excise tax--and other misc charges--cost me 3719.86 to get it licensed--the state is going to dip in our pockets any way they can--They suck!!

Tumbilina--I always wondered why my roadbikes cost more to tab than my PU that way outweighs a bike

Yes...on trucks they are calling it GVW & on the motorcycle it goes by weight too....but they call it something different....charge ya $10 for 238 lbs of bike! Trailers are getting hit hard too. I don't mind buying tabs, but it seems like it is getting excessive again. I've been hit 3 months in a row for tabs.....maybe I'm just bitter!
Don't even get me started on insurance.....
Regarding the Parky fee-I gave the State Parks $5 only for the Jeep tabs. I won't miss the $5 but that's all they are getting from me. I read in the paper that program is going well for them. Probably because most people don't realize they are donating it to them. Sneaky bastages!!!!!

H20SKE-I think paying sales tax on used vehicles/items is a total double dipping ripoff......Hope GTG compensated you well for picking up the sled....ease the pain at license office.....
