I have a 2011 Pro I am thinking of buying a 2013 short block. and installing it. I have been told that all of my electrical components and injectors will mount up and work with the motor. I have also been told by another dealer it wont work because the part number for the short block is different for the 2 years? What to do and who to believe.

I have heard that they changed injectors between '11 and '12 and that they are not interchangeable, but have no concrete info on that yet. I saw Carl's had a '13 short block for just under $3000.

The 2013 short block will accept all your electronics.. It is a great upgrade due to the better crank... Stilll poor pistons but the crank is much better.. You can also just get a 2013 crank and it will drop inot your cases.. So, there are a few options

I'm looking into this now....as the 2013 motor seems to be a more refined "package" overall.

A 2013 engine into a 2012... no problem... same injector-bosses/fuel-rail....and you run the 2012 injectors, etc and the 2012 flash.

I doubt that you would be able to get the 2013 flash on a previous model year sled though.
