is there a concert sat? me and the wife are planning on going.
I'll be there Saturday. I wanted to go ride the track Thursday, but couldn't get anybody to go with me. I heard Carey Heart, & the Nitro circus boys are going to be there racing.
i wonder if carey will bring pink?
So... this is at the ski resort? Is this a new thing? I have been out of racing for about 11 years but A track at a ski resort grabs my attention!

The races start at 9:00a.m on Saturday, and go pretty much all day. I think they end at 7 that night. Then again on Sunday. The good news is it's only 45 minutes away from the Thunderstruck premier later that night.
So how many big rigs do you think will break down on the way up?
And how many will smoke their brakes on the way down?
I hope no one goes off the road and gets hurt... My guess is there will be some issues and butt puckers.

They should post a sign at the top telling drivers to put it in low gear.

I took my boy up yesterday to watch the practices...Pretty cool track!!! There were some dudes running in the 85 classes skying over the tripple!!!!
Get there early or you will be walking forever!
And they do have signs telling peeps to gear down. I put my truck in Tow/haul and never had to touch my breaks....but I was empty and My FORD is BADASS There is a bunch of big rigs and tripple axle toy haulers that made it up. If they are smart there will be no problems on the down hill.

If they are smart there will be no problems on the down hill.went up early this morning to powder and still had quite the hike! track is rough and gnarly! was some pretty good races! to many lifeflights though word on the street is there is 1 that has died so far, hate to see that but i guess it goes with any kind of motorsport. feel bad for his fellow riders and family, hopefully tomorrow can be a more safe day for everybody

thanks for rounding me up! i scanned all the ugliest mugs i could find and didn't see you. cool venue for that, heard powder mountain was one of the only takers for the event. there were some bad a$$ rides up there. it was also fun to see places like that in the summer

just seen on ksl this morning that a motorhome rolled coming down off the mountain, i think one was killed and other injured.

we parked in the bottom and took the bus up. cool races, hope they do it next year. to bad about the poeple in the motor home.

My best friend in vegas lives next to this family. They all grew up riding together and he told me that over the weekend, this 16 yr. old amateur had the fastest lap times of anyone, including McGrath. They were on their way home to meet up with Team Green and Honda apparently. I watched him race when he was around 11 and he was impressive then.
I was told the mechanic was driving and downshifted, but nothing was slowing them down. The two boys jumped in the passenger seat to buckle in, but this boy was on the outside of the seat and didn't make it. Sad story.
