I bougt a 2011 pro 800 a couple months a go It lost a crank bearing at 1700 miles. So it has a complete rebuilt motor with a rk tek top end that hasn't been riden yet. So how many miles should I expect out of the top end ? I'm hoping this will be a reliable sled the rebuild was done by a good shop.

1000ish on my 13 and I don't see a reason to tear it apart yet unlike my stock motor with 1300 on (rings where bad, pistons were getting there but decent)... But I might do it this fall and mic em for a piece of mind cause I HATE down time when I get to ride.

I put 1400 on a RKT drop in before I sold it. No failures. Still running as far as I know, likely has 2000 on it now. If I still had it, I'd be checking it out carefully, likely putting new pistons in, just because its a poo 2 stroke. How the sled is warmed up before pinning it, and oil use, is key, too. Good shop or install helps, did they do a spec sheet with new clearances and ring gap documented? Good luck.
