what are your miles now after 2 seasons mine has 1450 hard miles no issues nock on wood stock motor 10-60 gram weights,Mbrp can

I put 1700 hard mountain miles on my 2011 without one issue, so I bought a 2012 and put a SLP stage 4 kit on it. 710 miles on the 12' so far and no issues. Just had the top end apart for peace of mind and pistons/rings look good...oil pump turned up and always add a cup of oil directly to the tank.

750 miles on the 2011 800PRO and 400 miles on the 2012 800PRO,TPS replacement on the 2012. No other problems. :face-icon-small-coo

A bit over 1,400 miles on my 2011 800 Pro with no issues (so far). It's been an awesome sled.

Unfortunately two guys I ride with (also 2011 800 Pros) had catastrophic engine failures at 2,000 and 2,200 miles. Both sleds were running great and all of a sudden... BAM.

Do you know what kind of failures?

Sorry, I should have included that information. Both engines suffered broken cylinder skirts.

Last thing I want to do is start some internet panic, as I am sure there are more running than not. Seems to not be an isolated incident though...

2400 miles, full bolt on mods, not a single low snow day and getting jumped and ridden hard every ride. Lost my strap-to-crankcase bolts and needed a crankcase under warranty at 1600 miles but the motor runs great and it's never had a problem. I turned my oiler up on day 1 and have run 6-8 oz of oil in every tank. My compression is perfect and my pistons look great save a small scratch or two most likely from snow ingestion.

4500 miles on my '11, motor had never been touched I was told. It was a rental sled that I bought at the beginning of this year. I rode it out west hard for 8 days. I lent it to my dad to take to Colorado and it burnt down 3 hours into his first day. I havent had a chance to tear it apart yet but it had the Non-Ethanol plug in it and he filled it up with 87 fuel with ethanol in it before he took it out and it threw the DET code on the dash. Summer rebuild will be instore and hopefully go back together as a RKT 858.

some did, but if you post, include if you turn up the oil or not, seems more oil helps a ton.

Thanks to all i have not turned my pump up yet but mine:face-icon-small-con:face-icon-small-con is on the rich side of the mark trying to decide to sell and snowcheck a 13 or keep it another year my warranty is up 11-21-12
