Just a quick hello from Britain land of fog and rain and a distinct lack of snow. So why am I saying hi in a snowmobile forum? Because a friend and I have the stupid idea to be the first people to ride the Road Of Bones on motorbikes in winter.
Where's the Road Of Bones? For those who don't know it's the far east of Russia deep in the wilds of Siberia.
Why winter? Because no-one's done it before. Since Ewan MacGregor and Charley Boorman televised their ride the world and his wife have done it in summer, but the Siberian winter is still a challenge.
So why join this forum and not some motorbike one? Because we're interested in snowbikes. No ordinary motorbike is going to make it through the Russian snows, but a snowbike just might and this seems like the place to find out more.
So please be gentle with me, and I promise to try not to ask really dumb questions.
