Guess it's getting colder up in the sky

I actually had a lady yesterday tell me that the earth is getting colder as a result of global warming.
After i got done laughing I asked her to explain that to me.
Of cource she couldn't. She just said that is what Al Gore said.

Havent you seen Day After Tomorrow. The theory is the ice caps are melting causing the ocean currents to change. I guess the ocean brings warm water to different parts of the planet. When the currents change , it puts us in some kind of temporary ice age.

That would hold true if the poles were actually melting.
however, the south pole ice is growing. Regardless of what OUR media has been telling you, according to the scientist from Australia who's job it is to monitor those kinds of things. A small part of of the south pole has been melting, however, everywhere else it is growing.

The north pole had more snow build up in the last 5 years than it had in the previous 15 years.

in order for the theory you put forward to be a fact, the poles, both north and south would have to be shrinking, and shrinking at quite a rate to affect the entire ocean system.

I have a sick feeling in my stomach. I thought only the likes of Janeane Garofalo, Michael Moore, Sean Penn, Jane Fonda, David Letterman, Rosie O'Donnell, Alec Baldwin, Ashley Judd, Joy Behar, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Shirley McClain, Bill Maher, Keith Olbermann, all the anchors and reporters on ABC, CBS and NBC listened to Al Gore.
